From Peter Miller, Citizen Participant, 2008

First, Saturday's race was a celebration race for me, I celebrated the memory of Bob Cook, and I celebrated my two victories over bone cancer, the last involving a bone marrow transplant, four years ago. (I also have a pace maker and a "nasty" case of osteoporosis) Bob Cook is one of th heros that has made the ultimate contribution to the success of my cancer recovery. As a one time Kona Ironman, I took my love of cycling......even into my transplant room, where I rode every day, but one.

My book was recently published, my profits go to various cancer organizations such as American Cancer Society,
